We arrived at the Budget counter at our scheduled pick up time, 1 pm. The line to get to the counter was a football field long. After asking those in the front we determined the wait time was 2-3 hours. We had doctor's appointments in Reno that afternoon which we would make, if we were able to get our car and go. A 2.5 hour wait would result in missing the appointments. We called an Uber and proceeded to Reno to make our appointments. I tried to cancel my reservation, only to be told on the app that I could not cancel. I will be disputing any charge on my credit card as Budget clearly did not meet the requirement of the contract to have an available car in a reasonable amount of time. Budget was well aware of the demand for cars to which they had agreed to supply. They had two representatives to service 100 yards of customers. That is not reasonable. Avis, Hertz and Enterprise had lines of two to three waiting customers; that is reasonable. I will never use on-line suppliers like Kayak again to book a rental car. I will join companies like Hertz and book directly with them.
