We are being charged 500 dollars for road hazard damage to windshield of the rental car. We paid extra per day and was told it was an insurance that took care of the little things that could go wrong. I asked if that was like road hazards and he said yes. When we turned the car in we told them about the dings on the windshield and that they caused by a passing semi truck,,,,,,road hazard. We were told not to worry that it was road hazard and we wouldn’t be charged for it. Then we get charged!!!!

The people were great at pickup and drop off. However, the car itself lacked a bit to be desired. First, the interior windshield had not been cleaned, which made for a dangerous glare at night, particularly on the dark mountain roads near Palm Springs. Second, the turn signals seemed broken. They turned on but did not automatically turn off after completing the turn. I had to manually turn off the turn signals after every turn. Third, about halfway through the trip, a warning light came on that said “Change oil soon.” Otherwise the car drove fine. Just thought you’d want to add those types of checks to your checklist before sending a car back out into service. Thanks.

When I booked this car on Kayak I assumed it was an airport pickup. It was actually for an independent, offsite company by a mile and a half. I stood in line for 50 minutes at the airport only to find this out. It was a quick and easy trip to the offsite location. Make sure you know where you are picking up the car, it wasn't obvious when making the reservation on Kayak.

The car was not at the airport as I thought I booked. Both in HNL and PSP. Twice !! Always check your arrival address. I was a travel agent for years and never experianced such poor service.

We stood in Avis Line for over an hour. When I finally jumped line and asked about just getting my car which was already paid for, found out it was at offsite location requiring cab ride. When we got in line, there were 3 people helping customers which dropped to zero at times during our wait. Was very disappointed in the whole experience.

Experience was mostly good. But there is no way to follow up with the local desk and the text they send saying to text back if you need anything doesn’t appear to be monitored which defeats the point. Left a jacket at the service desk and wasn’t able to ever contact them to let them know prior to us returning the vehicle a weak later. Glad we didn’t need anything else.

This location is off-airport, and they don't offer pick up. I had to walk the mile to the location. They also have limited hours on Saturdays, and closed on Sundays - and if you drop off during that time they charge for those days. This is not a great location for tourists using the airport!
