We were rented a car that had low treads on the tires, which then caused us to have a flat tire while exiting the highway, wait 4 hours for roadside assistance, and lose a travel day. Budget did refund a day’s rental, but we should have been able to trust that the car we rented was safe to drive!

I ended up with a damaged tire - no obvious cause, but I was lucky enough to be close to an airport with a Budget rental desk. I drove in , told them my issue. They were very helpful and got me on the road again in just a few hours.

There was an extra $138 charged to my Visa. The experience of brining the car back was quite lovely, the clerk was very friendly and nice but she did not say a word about any extra expenses being put on my bill, she simply handed me a triple folded receipt and said have a great holiday season. The next day when I pulled the receipt out of my purse I saw the total charged to my account. Needless to say, I will NOT be using them again.

There was an extremely long line of customers waiting to get their cars with only 2 employees working, one of whom was being monitored which slowed her down immensely. The process was made longer due to the questionable requirement of the agent to try to upgrade you to a more expensive car and then to buy extra car insurance. Maybe if you cannot staff adequately you could forgo the extra sales efforts? Or maybe the lady standing there watching could fire up a terminal and get some travelers on their way?

Very accommodating, had no issue at all except at check in, the clerk wanted me to sign the inspection slip of the car without actually going out to inspect the car before leaving.. maybe he was new and that’s ok bc I just advised that we should go look before signing anything..

very poor customer service at rental counter. He had no manners would not take the time to explain rules and regulations . i felt like he treated us like nobody’s and then got upset when we had a different insurance plan purchase, that we purchase on line .He just rushed us out . Has first time car rental customer it was my worst experience would not take the time for nothing . Will not deal with Hertz again thank you
